Star Marine: Infinite Ammo review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Star Marine: Infinite Ammo from GlitchSoft for the iPhone. Star Marine: Infinite Ammo takes its entire schtick from the seminal 1987 classic Contra. The problem is you can’t play a game like this on an iPhone. Star Marine comes from GlitchSoft, a company with a clear passion for Contra. This game is a labor of that love, a very iOS appropriate recreation of a classic. The sprites look like Contra, the gameplay is like a carbon copy of the fearless exploits of Scorpion and Mad Dog. And this would be one of our favorite iOS games…if it had a d-pad. This video review features video gameplay footage of Star Marine: Infinite Ammo for the iPhone and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek. LOL YOU CAN’T KICK ASS WITH A TOUCH SCREEN!
@progrocker69 Haha! So awesome! Thanks for that comment, that really made me laugh
Derek, if you are bad at Contra, isn’t that a breach of contract with CGR?! Watch out Mark will replace you with a robot!
would this work on the i cade? because if it did that would be epic
shit man contra is a personal favorite on earth
Reminds me so much of Contra.
@kristianthaulow I don’t get why some of the lower primates love to fling their poop around, yet they do.
I think these two phenomena are related.
Lol nice. This review was funny.
@sushifinatic0 Seriously, why do you care? Why does ANYONE care about this first comment?! I really don’t get it…
If only this game had better controls and supported physical control pad peripherals like the iControlpad, then this would’ve been a great shooter for the iPhone. By the way, Derek, just because a portable device lacks any physical buttons doesn’t mean it’s incapable of playing games like Star Marine. If utilized properly, virtual D-pads, buttons, and analog sticks can be adequate replacements for physical buttons. Don’t believe me, try some of Gameloft’s games like Sacred Odyssey.
lol if it didn’t have a health bar it would be unplayable with that laggy input.
second bitch
